尊敬的     先生（女士）臺鑒：

習近平總書記指出：“我國古代史、近代史、現(xiàn)代史構成了中華民族的豐富歷史畫卷”（2018年6月13日）；“中華民族5000多年文明史，中國人民近代以來170多年斗爭史，中國共產黨90多年奮斗史，中華人民共和國60多年發(fā)展史，改革開放30多年探索史，這些歷史一脈相承，不可割裂?！保?014年4月1日）。中華民國是距離當代中國最近的歷史時空，是中華民族在近代由沉淪到崛起的重要歷史階段，這一時期在馬克思主義指導下的，具有強大的政治優(yōu)勢、理論優(yōu)勢、實踐優(yōu)勢和素養(yǎng)優(yōu)勢的中國共產黨最終擔當了領導中國人民實現(xiàn)偉大復興的光榮使命和神圣職責。由此決定了中華民國史研究對于全面、系統(tǒng)認識中華民族為實現(xiàn)偉大復興的長期奮斗與曲折征程具有重要的理論價值與學術意義。

2023年適逢教育部重點研究基地南京大學中華民國史研究中心成立三十周年，為系統(tǒng)梳理與深刻檢討民國史研究的既有成效，更新學術理路，提升服務“四史”學習宣傳功能，經研究決定于2023年10月26-28日在南京舉辦“中華民族復興視域下的民國史研究”國際學術研討會，并向國內外征稿三十篇。熱烈歡迎學界同道踴躍參與，共襄盛舉。

現(xiàn)將相關事宜說明于下：

一、主要議題：

1、中華民族復興視域下的民國專題史研究；

2、民國史研究學科定位與理論研判；

3、國際民國史研究新進展；

4、新材料與民國史研究；

5、民國史研究中跨學科理論與方法；

6、其他民國史重要議題。

二、文章格式：參照《歷史研究》的規(guī)范。

三、文章篇幅：不限。

四、文章語言：中文、英文。

五、截稿時間：2023年7月1日。

Call for Papers

“Studies on the History of Republican China from the Perspective of Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation & the 30^th Anniversary of the Center for the History of Republican China, Nanjing University"

Dear Mr. (Ms.)         ：

The Republic of China was the first state power of its kind in Chinese history to practice a republican system of government; it played an important role in the Chinese development of self-reliance and self-improvement in the 20^th century, which was also a critical historical link between past and future during the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The historical theme throughout the period of the Republic of China is to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Since the Opium War, the Chinese nation had been confronted with two major historical missions: 1) to achieve national independence and people's liberation, and 2) to make China prosperous and strong, and to achieve people’s common prosperity. Considering that the former is a prerequisite for the latter, it is of great theoretical value and academic significance to study the history of the Republic of China for the comprehensive and systematic understanding of the tortuous course of the long struggle of the Chinese nation to realize its great rejuvenation.

Since 1984, Nanjing University has held six international academic conferences on the history of the Republic of China. The year 2023 coincides with the 30^th Anniversary of the Center for History of Republican China, Nanjing University--a key research base of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The Center plans to hold the 7^th international academic conference in Nanjing from 26^th to 28^th October, 2023, to comprehensively review the existing progress as well as exchange findings on recent advances in the studies on the History of Republican China from the Perspective of Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation.

By this letter, we would like to cordially invite 30 papers related to the History of Republican China, and look forward to attendance of scholars from the whole world to this conference.
